Job Description

The Role

Peninsula Grammar is seeking a Part-Time or Full-time Boarding House Supervisor to support the wellbeing, safety, and development of our boarding students.

The Boarding House is a welcoming community for students in Years 8–12 from Australia and around the world. As part of the boarding team, you will support students through their daily routines, study, activities, and boarding life while helping foster independence, resilience, and respect.

This role would suit experienced boarding staff, pre-service teachers, learning support staff, or those looking to build experience working with young people.

This position operates during school terms and the Term 3 break, with regular weekday shifts typically between 3.00pm and 11.00pm, along with occasional sleepover shifts. Additional shifts may also be available. The successful candidate will commence as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and pastoral care for boarding students
  • Support study sessions, meals, and daily routines
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful boarding environment
  • Build positive relationships and act as a role model
  • Work collaboratively with boarding staff to support student wellbeing
  • Respond to student needs and maintain boarding house standards

Desired Skills and Experience

All positions at Peninsula Grammar require:

  • Current Working with Children Check Card or Current VIT
  • First-Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications - upon commencement
  • Child Safety training (Mandatory Reporting Certificate)  - upon commencement
