Job Description
Peninsula Grammar is seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary Teacher to join our Middle School. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to become part of our professional and supportive community, contributing to high-quality learning experiences for our middle years students.
We are inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for a Year 5 Teacher (1.0 FTE) role for the remainder of the 2026 academic year, commencing in Term 3 and continuing through Terms 3 and 4.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the School’s curriculum
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that meets diverse student needs
Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide meaningful feedback
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and strengthen the primary program
Build positive relationships with students, parents, and carers to support each child’s learning journey
About You:
Passionate about fostering a love of learning and supporting student wellbeing
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in co-educational, independent schools (preferred)
Skilled in delivering practical and inquiry-based learning
Confident in using and adapting to educational technologies
Collaborative and team-oriented, with the ability to work independently
Committed to contemporary teaching approaches that promote critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration
