Job Description

The Role

Peninsula Grammar is seeking an experienced English Teacher to join our dynamic team. As a valued member of the English department, you will inspire a love of literature and language, deliver engaging lessons, and support students’ academic growth across a range of year levels. You’ll also collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the broader school community.

There are two part-time leave cover positions available, with the possibility of ongoing employment:

  • 0.6 FTE – Term 3: Year 7 & 8 English
  • 0.6 FTE – Terms 3 & 4: Year 10 & 11 English (or Year 8 & 9 English and Year 8 Humanities)

About You 

You will:

  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have VCE experience, and a willingness to teach across the VCE years (a minimum requirement for the Year 10 & 11 opportunity)
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for literature and language
  • Be committed to supporting students’ intellectual growth
  • Be collaborative and dedicated to creating an inclusive learning environment

Desired Skills and Experience

All positions at Peninsula Grammar require:

  • Current VIT 
  • First-Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
  • Child Safety training (Mandatory Reporting Certificate)
