Job Description
The Role
Peninsula Grammar School is seeking a friendly and reliable Barista to join our team on Saturday's commencing as soon as possible. This is a casual role primarily based in our coffee van, serving our school community. Must be available for a 8.00 am start. In this role, you’ll be the face of our coffee service, creating great coffee and providing warm, efficient service in a fast-paced outdoor setting.
Your duties will include:
Making espresso-based coffees and other café-style drinks in our coffee van
Serving students, families, staff, and visitors with a friendly, welcoming approach
Handling payments accurately and efficiently
Setting up and packing down the coffee van each shift
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the van and service area
Restocking supplies and ensuring ingredients and coffee equipment are ready for service
Working independently while still being part of a supportive school team
We’re looking for someone who is confident making coffee, works well under pressure, and enjoys interacting with people. Previous barista experience is preferred. If you love good coffee, early mornings, and a community-focused environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Desired Skills and Experience
All positions at Peninsula Grammar require
Current VIT or Working with Children Check and Police Check (or willingness to apply)
First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Management, CPR Training - Current or willing to complete
Mandatory Child Safety training – provided by the school upon commencement
