Job Description
The Role
Peninsula Grammar School is seeking a dedicated and reliable Tuckshop Assistant to join our team in Mornington Peninsula. The Tuckshop Assistant role is a casual opportunity, with availability required during the week, particularly on Fridays, as well as the possibility of Saturday mornings (8:00 am – 12:00 pm)
Assisting in the preparation and serving of food and drinks in accordance with established health and safety guidelines.
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the tuckshop area, including regular cleaning of kitchen equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas.
Receiving and checking deliveries of food supplies, ensuring accurate stock rotation and storage.
Operating and handling payments accurately, and providing excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
Assisting with stock management, including monitoring inventory levels, identifying shortages.
Making Coffees for our school community
The successful candidate will be organised, reliable, and able to work well as part of a team. Desired Skills and Experience
All positions at Peninsula Grammar require:
Current Working with Children Check & Police Check (or willingness to apply)
First-Aid qualifications (HLTAID009 CPR Course, HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid & ASCIA anaphylaxis)
Current Food Handlers certificate (preferred)
Cafe Experience (Desirable)
Child Safety training – (provided by the school)
