Job Description
The Role
We are seeking a friendly and organised Retail Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our school uniform shop. This role is key to delivering excellent customer service while ensuring smooth retail and stock processes. This is a part-time, term-time plus role (additional 5 weeks to be worked in non-term weeks') commencing as soon as possible.
The working hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 7:45am–11:45am, with the ability to be flexible and provide extra support when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide outstanding customer service to students, families, and staff
Assist with uniform fittings, sales, and enquiries (in person, phone, email)
Process transactions accurately using POS systems
Manage stock, including receiving, pricing, merchandising, and stocktakes
Fulfil online orders and assist with inventory control
Support daily financial reconciliation and basic reporting
Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming shop environment
Support the Retail Shop Manager where needed
About You:
Retail or customer service experience
Strong communication and organisational skills
Confident using POS systems and handling cash
High attention to detail and ability to multitask
Team player with a positive, professional approach
Flexible availability across the week to provide support as required

Desired Skills and Experience
All positions at Peninsula Grammar require:
Employee WWCC and a National Police Check
First-Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
Child Safety training (Mandatory Reporting Certificate) - provided upon commencement
