Job Description

The Role

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Casual Facilities Team Member to support the day-to-day upkeep of our school grounds and buildings. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining safe, clean, and well-presented environments for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assisting with general grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, and garden care
  • Carrying out basic repairs and maintenance tasks across school facilities
  • Supporting set-up and pack-down for school events and activities
  • Monitoring and reporting maintenance issues or safety hazards
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming campus environment

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

  • Practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use basic hand tools 
  • Experience in groundskeeping, maintenance, or facilities support (desirable)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Reliability and flexibility to work casual hours as required
  • Hold a current and valid driver’s licence

All positions at Peninsula Grammar require:

  • Current Working with Children Check & Police Check (or willingness to apply)
  • First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Management, CPR Training - Current or willing to complete
  • Mandatory Child Safety training – provided by the school upon commencement
