Job Description

The Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Indonesian to join our team at Peninsula Grammar. 

This is a part-time, maximum-term position for the duration of Term 4 to provide cover during a period of long service leave.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering engaging and effective Indonesian language lessons to students across different year levels
  • Creating engaging and interactive learning experiences that promote student participation and progression
  • Developing and implementing effective assessment methods to evaluate student performance and understanding
  • Supporting students' personal and academic development through mentorship and guidance
  • Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and innovative teaching techniques

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in teaching Indonesian language and culture at a secondary level 
  • Demonstrated ability to engage students with a lively, adaptive and effective learning 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for promoting cross-cultural understanding and appreciation
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students
  • Willingness to contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities or pastoral care responsibilities

All positions at Peninsula Grammar require:

  • Current VIT
  • First-Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
  • Child Safety training (Mandatory Reporting Certificate)
